Description: Acquired a reputation as one of the most talented pilots in the RFC. Became flight commander of 74 Squadron and then commander of 85 Squadron. Shot down 58 planes. Awarded the Victoria Cross posthumously when his plane crashed behind German lines. (1887-1918)
