Description: Abstract - Born in 1827. In the 1850s she concentrated on the campaign to remove women's legal disabilities. This included writing articles and organizing petitions. In 1858 she helped found the journal, The Englishwoman's Review. In 1877 she was taken seriously ill and was left paralyzed. She remained an invalid until her death in 1891.
